Rule No. 1: Normal = Average.

And no one wakes up dreaming of being average.

You don’t want to give average presentations, post average content, or launch an average course. Yet that’s exactly what happens when you follow everyone else’s formula. Blend in too much, and you become forgettable. Your so-called “personal brand” becomes a personal bland.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

My approach? Be radically different—but meaningfully so. Start with what I call a Ban List.

Write down what’s normal in your industry:

  • What everyone’s saying

  • What everyone’s wearing

  • What everyone’s designing

  • What fonts, colors, styles dominate the field

And then? Ban them. Cross them off as not options for you.

Because your brand can’t stand out if it looks like everyone else’s.

This isn’t about being different just to shock or provoke. It’s about being strategically different—different in a way that resonates more deeply with your audience, not less.

When clients work with me, we don’t start with how to fit in. We start with what to eliminate. That’s how we uncover what makes you unforgettable.

So here’s my challenge for you:
👉 What’s one “normal” thing in your industry that you’re ready to ban?
👉 What’s your first act of branding rebellion?

Because the world doesn’t need more average. It needs you.
